Location: Kochi & Hyderabad, India

As a Junior Urban Designer/Planner, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the urban landscapes of diverse regions, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other emerging markets. Your creativity and passion for urban design and planning will play a vital role in developing innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance the urban experience for communities in these rapidly evolving environments. The Junior Urban Designer may be required to fulfill duties as detailed below on single or multiple projects or working on strategic / special tasks and business.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
• Junior-level experience (typically 1+ years) in urban design and/or planning projects, with an understanding of diverse regions, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, or other emerging markets.
• Familiarity with urban design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.
• Basic knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and sustainable design concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to urban design challenges under guidance.
• Effective communication skills, facilitating collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• A portfolio showcasing academic projects or any relevant urban design and planning work, demonstrating your potential and passion for urban design.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to urban design and planning projects in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, or other regions.
• Familiarity with governmental processes and involvement in urban planning and design.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior team members in executing urban design projects across diverse regions, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct research and site analysis to gain insights into local contexts, cultural influences, and planning guidelines.
• Contribute creative ideas and concepts for urban design elements, including public spaces, streetscapes, green areas, and transportation networks.
• Collaborate closely with the architecture and planning teams, providing valuable input to integrate urban design principles into development proposals.
• Utilize relevant 3D modeling and visualization tools to support the presentation of design proposals to stakeholders and clients.
• Participate in public engagement activities to gather feedback, promoting community-oriented and participatory urban planning and design practices.
• Stay informed about current urban design trends, sustainability practices, and technological advancements, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
