Design Manager | Dubai, UAE

Qualifications and Key Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the design management role
Shall be aware about the requirements of the local authorities in Dubai.
Previous Middle East Experience
Management of multiple projects and portfolios.
Strong organizational, and communication skills
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Project Director the Design Manager will provide the oversight, management and administration services for the Design Consultancy services.
Facilitate the implementation and execution of all Project Controls, working with available project resources, to include programmes, design schedules, cost control, progress reports and records.
Act as a key point of contact for participation in the project change control and risk management process.
Facilitate, chair and minute weekly coordination meetings or conference calls with the relevant consultants.
Responsible for the administering of all correspondence to the Client or Clients PM team, including the preparation of all contractual letters and notices.
Ability to develop and manage design management plans, including project scope baseline, man-hour estimates (resources), quality plans, budgets and risk plans.
Procurement of specialist consultants (scopes, fees, terms and conditions etc.)
Lead internal and external project kick-off meetings and ensure that all parties are aligned.
Coordinate daily with the design teams across all design stages ensuring technical issues are addressed and approvals are obtained.
Responsible for Preparation of Monthly Progress Reports
