Location: Kochi & Hyderabad, India

As a Urban Designer, you will be an integral part of shaping the urban landscapes of diverse regions, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other emerging markets. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable urban design solutions that enhance the quality of life for communities in these rapidly evolving environments. The Urban Designer may be required to fulfill duties as detailed below on single or multiple projects or working on strategic / special tasks and business.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
• Intermediate-level experience (typically 3+ years) in urban design and/or planning projects, with exposure to diverse regions, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, or other emerging markets.
• Proficiency in urban design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.
• Familiarity with urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and sustainability concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supporting senior team members in addressing complex urban challenges.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities, enabling successful collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant urban design and planning projects, demonstrating your creative and planning capabilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with urban design and planning projects in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, or other regions.
• Familiarity with governmental processes and engagement with authorities related to urban planning and design.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior team members in executing urban design projects across diverse regions, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and in adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in conducting thorough site analysis and research to gain a comprehensive understanding of local contexts, cultural nuances, and planning regulations.
• Contribute creative and innovative urban design concepts that encompass public spaces, streetscapes, green areas, and transportation networks to enrich urban experiences.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the architecture and planning teams, providing valuable input to integrate urban design principles into development proposals.
• Utilize relevant 3D modelling and visualization tools to effectively communicate design proposals to stakeholders and clients.
• Participate in public engagement initiatives to gather feedback, fostering a community-oriented and participatory approach to urban planning and design.
• Stay updated with the latest urban design trends, sustainability practices, and technological advancements, actively contributing to the team’s knowledge base.
