As a Senior Architect at DSA Architects, you will assist the Project Architect in leading the design and coordination of project packages across all project stages. You will mentor junior team members and monitor their output to ensure quality and to optimize task allocation for the project. Senior Architects will also lead coordination efforts with other consultants, developing their understanding of all building disciplines to become more effective Architects.
This role requires strong leadership, design judgment, and the ability to manage time and resources effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
• Professional Accreditation as a Licensed or Chartered Architect with a recognized institution.
• Completed Architectural Qualifications – For Example RIBA 1,2 & 3
• At Least 7 Years of post-graduate Architectural Experience
• Middle East Project exposure (even academic or internship) is advantageous.
• Experience of leading teams for projects or packages
Responsibilities:
Design Leadership
• Lead the development of architectural design packages from concept through to tender.
• Review and approve design outputs to ensure alignment with project goals and DSA standards.
• Provide design direction and mentorship to Architects and BIM Modelers.
Project Coordination
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure integrated, multidisciplinary design delivery.
• Manage design deliverables in line with project schedules and milestones.
• Attend and contribute to client, consultant, and authority meetings.
Quality & Compliance
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of design documentation.
• Ensure adherence to DSA’s design procedures, BIM protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Support value engineering, sustainability, health & safety and accessibility reviews.
Time & Resource Management
• Plan and manage personal and team workloads to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
• Accurately estimate task durations and adjust priorities based on project needs.
• Support the Project Architect or Design Principal in resource planning and team coordination.
Professional Development
• Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, including BIM upskilling.
• Actively contribute to DSA Hubs — internal research groups focused on innovation, sustainability, digital design, and other strategic themes.
• Maintain active engagement with professional development programs.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is strongly encouraged.
