DSA Wins Best International Architecture Multiple Residence at the International Property Awards 2021-22

March 7, 2022

DSA Architects International were honoured at the International Property Awards Exclusive Champagne Breakfast Presentation at The Savoy Hotel in London on 25th February for our project Jawaher Al Saadiyat by Aldar Properties.

The development has received the highest accolade of a 5-star in the Arabian Property Awards 2021 for Best Architecture Multiple Residence in October of last year. The top winners in each region were automatically entered into the overall international awards, which culminated in a glittering awards ceremony in London.

We have competed against the best property professionals across the world to be recognised in the Best International Architecture Multiple Residence category.

The exclusive champagne breakfast event signified another vastly important step for the International Property Awards and its winners, and included guests of honour Lord Malcolm Caithness along with President of the International Property Awards, Stuart Shield.

Stuart said, “I want to begin by congratulating all of the regional and overall international property awards winners. I also want to recognise the members of the judging panel, who have had the interesting task in choosing from so many outstanding projects all across the world. If you love interior design, architecture and world-class developments then many can attest to the fact that there is no better awards programme to showcase these phenomenal designs and services than the International Property Awards. We are delighted to have played a part in celebrating some really amazing firms and projects and can now look forward to the rest of 2022 with a renewed sense of optimism.”

The International Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme throughout the regions. Judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts, the judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, and Lord Waverley, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.

International Property Media has been in the awards business for over 28 years, running a global awards programme from their offices in Chelmsford, Essex, UK. The awards are well recognised and very highly respected within the property industry, and offer prizes to developers, architects, designers and estate agents, many of whom are very proud to display their awards on their websites, stationery and even their buildings. The judging panels feature industry leaders, and the awards are much sought after.

The Awards are in their 28th year and cover over 50 different residential and commercial categories. Regional heats are staged for Arabia, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, USA, UK and Asia Pacific.

Originally, I am from France but have spent many years living across the world, from Africa, The United States and most recently the Middle East.

Throughout my life I have always enjoyed an outdoor lifestyle and as you can see, I have travelled a lot. Having an active life is very important to me, whether that be through things like mountain biking and water sports or even camping at the weekend.

My education began at the School of Versailles in Paris. It was a great school to study at, but I also loved it because of its location. Paris is such a diverse city that is always evolving. If you accompany that with decades of stunning architecture, it really becomes and place like no other.

I have been interested in seeing things grow and develop since a very young age. As a girl I would build sandcastles and tree houses with my brother. Over time that interest developed further and by my teens I knew I wanted to be an architect.

For the last 5 years I have been with the DSA team and my role consists of managing projects from design to creation. As a Project Architect, I am positioned between the design team and the client. It’s a role that I love because it can be so varied from project to project.

Each client has their own particular requests, and it is critical that I understand them at an early stage.

Not only does this help ensure that all team members keep to what the client wants, but also it means that any design hurdles can resolved at a swift pace, avoiding lengthy delays.

When a project begins, inspiration for design is never too far away. From looking back at past successes and evolving those ideas further, to examining the surroundings of the project location. It’s fundamental to capture the vision of the client, taking multiple elements and combining them to create a strong identity.

Spending some quality family time with my husband and son is extremely important to me. When i’m not emersed in a project, I like to spend as much time with them as possible. I also have a great passion for cooking and maintaining a healthy diet. I am always researching new and exciting recipes.

However, the excitement for designing is always with me and currently I am designing a villa for my family and I in France during my spare time.
